Jyoti Maurya is a Provincial Civil Service (PCS) officer who is currently posted as the General Manager of the Bareilly Sugar Mill in Uttar Pradesh. She has been in the news recently for her alleged involvement in infidelity and corruption, as well as her marital dispute with her husband Alok Maurya, who works as a Class IV employee in the Panchayat Raj Department. She married Alok Maurya in 2010, who was working as a Class IV employee in the Panchayat Raj Department. According to Alok, he supported Jyoti financially and emotionally to prepare for the civil service exam, and even took loans and sold his land for her coaching.
Jyoti cleared the PCS exam in 2014 and was selected as a PCS officer. She was posted as a Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) in various districts of Uttar Pradesh, such as Pratapgarh, Sultanpur, Banda, Chitrakoot, and Bareilly.
## SDM Jyoti Maurya Alleged Affair and Corruption Charges
According to Alok, Jyoti started having an extramarital affair with Manish Dubey, who is posted as a Home Guard Commandant in Ghaziabad. He claimed that Jyoti and Manish were planning to kill him and had threatened him several times. He also alleged that Jyoti was involved in corrupt practices and had amassed huge amounts of money through bribes.
Alok said that he had evidence of Jyoti's affair and corruption, such as WhatsApp chats, photos, videos, bank statements, and handwritten diaries. He said that he had hacked Jyoti's WhatsApp account and found out about her illicit relationship with Manish. He also said that he had recovered some diaries from Jyoti's house, where she had noted down the details of the money she had received from various sources.
Alok filed a complaint against Jyoti and Manish at the Dhumanganj police station in Prayagraj, and also approached the Chief Minister's Office, the Chief Secretary, the Appointment Secretary, and other officials for action. He also demanded a CBI inquiry into Jyoti's assets and income.
## Her Counter-Allegations and Legal Battle
Jyoti denied all the allegations made by Alok and said that he was blackmailing her for money and property. She said that Alok had lied to her about his qualification and job at the time of their marriage, and that he was actually a sweeper in the Panchayat Raj Department. She said that she wanted to divorce him but he was not agreeing to it.
Jyoti also filed a complaint against Alok and his family members at the Civil Lines police station in Prayagraj, accusing them of harassment, dowry demand, domestic violence, and criminal intimidation. She said that Alok had demanded Rs 50 lakh and a house from her, and had also tortured her physically and mentally.
Jyoti also claimed that Alok had forged some documents and diaries to defame her. She said that she had never met Manish Dubey personally and that he was just a friend on social media. She said that she was ready to face any inquiry into her assets and income.
